I know it
is impossible but I would like to thank everyone
that made last night’s Hal Fullman Night celebration
at
Pates such a success.
The weather cooperated. The Pates did a great job preparing
the field throughout the day. We had two good competitive
games. We had a great turnout in the the stands.
We had our best ever 50/50 raffle with over 15 prizes and
a
50/50 prize of $201 (we collected an incredible $402).
We had a great deal of smiles and a few tears.
The biggest smile probably was the young girl in the
refreshment stand that realized that she had the first
ticket drawn and thus had her choice of all the prizes.
She
took the cash. Stooges’ Mike Lewis did an excellent
job
MC’ing the between games honoring of our late stats
guy
Hal Fullman. Jimmy Frick, the voice of the East Penn League,
did
a superb job of announcing the entire evening. Mike Sechrist
and Walt Milinichik did a top-shelf job umping both games.
Kudo’s to Ormrod’s Brett Reightler and Matt
Haney for
running the 50/50 drawing so well.
Thank you to all three teams for their donations to the
drawings, the league’s players that made donations
from
themselves and their companies, and the many ‘friends
of
the EPFSL’.
When I took over as president a couple of years ago I really
wanted for everyone to contribute together for the better
good of the league. Last night was a true team effort. The
fans that came out were treated to good mens fastpitch,
they
found out that the EPFSL is still around and that we can
put
on a good show.
Thanks again to one and all. I really appreciate the effort
last night.
Best Regards,
Jean-Pierre |
